Rowan will be presenting at the annual meeting of the ASAE (www.asaenet.org)
in Boston in August. HLP will be presenting on Virtual
companies and how you can help your company work more
efficiently remotely or even become virtual yourself.
HLP’s unique background with non profits and technology
provided an excellent framework to develop and present
information on the many ways you can gain access to your
data and programs remotely. In addition, HLP is a remote
company ourselves! We've had staff members telecommuting for
over 10 years and became "virtual" last year!
We will talk about the challenges of
going virtual and the approach we used to solve them
including:
1. Staff issues including emotional and physical needs
2. Costs and savings
3. Planning
4. Impact on business systems including mail and internal
processes
5. Customer and staff communications
6. Technology necessary
7. Customer response
8. Meetings
and more.
HLP will also demonstrate the various technologies that are
available to businesses and organizations today when it
comes to accessing their important data and programs
remotely.
During the
demonstration, Derek will move his office to the convention
floor and you'll see him on the phone with staff,
transferring calls, working on all of his programs,
conducting a simple web training session with staff, and
generally getting work done. He'll also show you the ways to
do all of this at relatively little cost using much of the
technology you probably already own.
